Knit Picks Haul video and GIVEAWAY!

I've received an incredible package of yarn and goodies from Knit Picks that I want to share with you all. There may also be a giveaway in the video!!! Make sure you check it out for all the details.

I chose the yarns below because I've previously worked with them and feel in love with the feeling and how they knit up. I ordered sweater quantities of these beautiful yarns because I want to design some sweaters and cardigans in 2021! Keep your eyes out for some new designs. I'll be sharing in this blog the yarns I received for the sweater quantities.

Before we get into the yarns, I want to tell you that I've been using Knit Picks yarn for years. I would not have done these reviews on their yarns if I didn't already love their brand. They are amazing to knit with and affordable prices.

Here's the Youtube video for the Haul and Giveaway

Alright, here we go! Grab your knitting and beverage of choice and let's go through this! This post was sponsored by Knit Picks/WeCrochet. I've worked with provincial tweed once before for a pattern of full/fingerless mitts. I loved working with it so much I had to order two sweater quantities!! I love the tweed speckles are not your usual color and they bring so much uniqueness to the yarn.

I found it very soft to knit with and it never split.

Here's the pair of mittens I designed with this yarn.

Swish Bulky is a yarn I had heard MANY knitters talk about. They loved the softness and durability of this yarn. I had never worked with it before and was very curious.

I decided to knit up a hat out of the Swish bulky for a test knit. I loved the yarn so much that I order two sweater quantities! The yarn doesn't split and is very enjoyable to knit with.

I then decided to knit up a cowl using Swish Bulky in Dove Heather and Cobblestone Heather. I wanted to see how this base looked like with colorwork. The results below speak for themselves. The yarn bloomed beautifully after blocking and I couldn't have been happier with the result.

Swish Worsted

I was so excited to receive this yarn in the mail and to finally feel it in my hands. I also was very curious to see how it knit up. This yarn was amazing. I decided to knit up an earflap hat for the girls. I used the pattern EarFlap Hat by Jane Richmond which is a free pattern on Ravelry.

I've added some cute touches with the pompom and washable tags making this a perfect gift knit. You can get both of these on the knit picks website.

I've only used knitpicks Aloft in garments and love it. Thought it was a great value. My blankets are in Wool of Andes and I've dyed some Hawthorne and Felici bare yarns which turned out great. Excited to try swish worsted, provincial tweed and twill. I think my YouTube is Tina Timmins.
