Thumb

Place the held stitches onto your needles and for magic loop divide as follows: 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) stitches on each needle. Set up Round: Needle 1: Knit all stitches Needle 2: Knit all stitches and pick up 2 stitches along the hand of the mitt where the gap is. You will now have 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) stitches on Needle 1 and 7 (7, 8, 8, 9) stitches on Needle 2. Knit every round until thumb measures 1.5 (1.75, 2, 2.25, 2.5) inches 3.8 (4.4, 5, 5.7, 6.3) cm from pick up.
